By intentionally intersecting industry and education, the EDGE Consortium is uniquely situated to establish new, more accessible pathways into the semiconductor industry. Within our network of experts, educators, mentors, industry leaders, career advisors, and policymakers, the EDGE Consortium is able to give 3rd and 4th year undergraduate Scholars access to a robust network of in-industry semiconductor professionals who are ready to mentor and coach EDGE students as they explore and pursue careers in the field.
Mentorship has proven to be a powerful lever for students from historically marginalized backgrounds to succeed in STEM careers, and is an essential component of the EDGE Scholars program for advanced undergraduate students. Coach-mentors serve for a minimum of two semesters/three trimesters to ensure continuity over the course of the school year and give students an average of 5 hours per term of access for bespoke, real-time support.
