April 22nd: Intel will be hosting a group of EDGE Scholars, University of Washington students, and Washington Nanofabrication Facility staff on April 22nd for a visit and tour of Intel Hillsboro (OR) campuses. Activities will include a career panel and lunch with Intel engineers and technologists followed by a Fab tour of the Intel Aloha campus Far Back End process.
Intel’s Far Back End and Sort Organization (FSO) is a cross-geo (Ireland, Israel, and Oregon) Semiconductor Fabrication organization delivering advanced packaging technologies across all phases of a product lifecycle. We are a growing community focused on collaborative innovation at the forefront of Intel’s product roadmap.
April 23rd: EDGE Scholars will visit the University of Washington’s Nanofab facility on the UW campus. Following the facility tour, Scholars will have the opportunity to meet with involved faculty, staff, and graduate students to further explore the types of projects and roles encapsulated in this sort of facility.
